BJP Leaders in Bengal Hold Special Prayers Marking Modi’s Long Tenure

Local leaders and supporters of the Bharatiya Janata Party gathered at temples in parts of Dakshin Dinajpur district on Wednesday to offer special prayers for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking what party leaders described as a historic milestone in his tenure.

The observances were organized to commemorate 12 years of  Modi’s leadership and 4,399 consecutive days in office as prime minister, a duration that party members said represents the longest continuous tenure by an Indian prime minister.At Bidhyeshwari-Rameshwar Dham in Dhadalpara, BJP workers assembled with photographs of the prime minister and participated in rituals and prayers seeking his good health, longevity and the country’s continued prosperity and stability. Among those present were district secretary Rajat Ghosh, Kisan Morcha leader Jiban Ray and several party workers and local leaders.

Party leaders said the event was intended to celebrate what they described as a landmark moment in India’s political history.A similar program was held at the Bishohori Temple in the Nazirpur panchayat area under the initiative of the Tapan No. 2 Mandal Committee. BJP Mandal president Chhoton Chakraborty and other party members joined prayers for the prime minister’s health and for the nation’s progress.

Separately, at a Shani temple near Tapan School More, Member of Parliament Dr.Sukanta Majumdar and legislator Budhrai Tudu offered prayers together as part of the commemorative observances.BJP leaders said similar programs are being held across the country to mark the occasion.
