IPS officer Abhishek Gupta officially assumed office as the new Superintendent of Police of Dakshin Dinajpur on Thursday, marking a leadership transition in the district’s law enforcement administration.
Mr.Abhisek Gupta was formally welcomed at the office of the Superintendent of Police, where district police officials received him with ceremonial honors, including a guard of honor, underscoring the significance of the appointment.
Taking over from former Superintendent of Police Chinmoy Mittal, Mr. Gupta stepped into the role amid expectations of stronger policing initiatives and enhanced public engagement. Shortly after assuming office, he was briefed on key administrative and operational matters concerning the district police.
