A special drive titled ‘Jan Bhagidari - Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle’ has been launched across the Dakshin Dinajpur district to ensure 100% outreach of government services and welfare schemes to the underprivileged tribal communities. As part of this initiative, a special IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) camp was organized at Narai Junior High School and Singfarka Primary School in the Gangarampur block.

Hundreds of villagers from vast areas, including Narai, Singfarka, Anantapur, Kataban, Kathalhat-Hosenpur, and Raghavpur, participated in the event. Initiated by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, the primary objective of this program is to raise awareness about government schemes and directly deliver their benefits to the public.

The camp at Narai Junior High School was attended by Satyen Roy, the MLA of Gangarampur Assembly Constituency, and Arpita Ghoshal, the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Gangarampur. During the event, MLA Satyen Roy inspected various stalls at the camp and interacted directly with the attendees. Following his official duties, he also planted saplings on the school premises to spread a message of environmental conservation.

Speaking on the initiative, MLA Satyen Roy said, “Our primary goal is the development and protection of the interests of the common people. The core objective of this campaign is to bring various government welfare schemes directly to the doorsteps of the people and provide immediate solutions to their grievances. We are working to ensure that people from every section of society benefit from government services and become partners in development. This momentum of development will continue in every corner of the Gangarampur block.”

According to district administration sources, this special campaign will run continuously across every block of the district until May 25 to establish intensive public relations in tribal-dominated areas. Reflecting on the local timeline, Gangarampur BDO Arpita Ghoshal confirmed that the camp will continue in the block until the 25th of this month. Meanwhile, the event witnessed immense enthusiasm and active participation from the local residents.
