Preparations are underway in the Kushmandi area of South Dinajpur district ahead of a major political gathering scheduled for Saturday, April 11, where India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is expected to address a large public assembly titled the “Parivartan Sankalp Sabha.”
The event is being framed by organizers as a significant moment of political outreach in the region, drawing attention to both local development concerns and broader national themes. Party workers and supporters have been actively mobilizing in anticipation of the Prime Minister’s visit, with expectations of a substantial turnout.
On Thursday, Union Minister of state Dr. Sukanta Majumdar visited Kushmandi to review preparations and coordinate with local party functionaries. During his visit, he held discussions with grassroots workers, assessing logistical arrangements and emphasizing the importance of the event in strengthening organizational presence in the district.
Local leaders described the upcoming public meeting as “historic,” highlighting its role in energizing party cadres and connecting national leadership with voters at the grassroots level. Security measures and administrative arrangements are also being put in place to ensure the smooth conduct of the gathering. The public rally is expected to serve as a platform for outlining political priorities while reinforcing the party’s message in the region, as attention turns toward the evolving political landscape in West Bengal.
