As preparations intensify for the upcoming assembly elections, the general observer appointed by the Election Commission of India for the 39–Balurghat Assembly Constituency conducted a visit to several polling stations in the Chingishpur area on March 23, 2026.
The observer, Ritesh Chauhan, inspected the readiness of the polling stations and reviewed the overall arrangements to ensure they are in full compliance with the guidelines set by the Election Commission. The visit focused on assessing infrastructure, logistical preparedness, and the availability of essential facilities for voters.
During his tour, Mr. Chauhan also interacted with local electors in and around the polling stations. These interactions were aimed at building confidence among voters and addressing any concerns related to the electoral process.He reassured citizens that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure that the elections are conducted in a free, fair, and transparent manner, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of the democratic process.
