The general observer appointed for the upcoming assembly elections in the 41-Gangarampur constituency conducted an inspection of several polling stations to assess preparedness ahead of the vote, officials said.
The observer, Bishwa Mohan Sharma, visited multiple locations across the constituency, where he reviewed the overall condition of polling centers and evaluated the availability of Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) for voters. His visit was aimed at ensuring that all logistical and administrative arrangements are in place in accordance with Election Commission guidelines.
During the inspection, Mr. Sharma emphasized the importance of adhering strictly to prescribed norms and ensuring that every necessary measure is properly implemented. He interacted with voters, polling personnel and other stakeholders, listening to their concerns and gathering feedback on the arrangements.He also reassured those present that the election would be conducted in a free, fair and peaceful manner, underscoring the administration’s commitment to upholding democratic processes.
