With an eye on the upcoming Assembly elections in West Bengal, Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, a Union minister of state, addressed party workers and supporters on Saturday during the party’s “Paribartan Yatra” in Balurghat.
The political rally, aimed at strengthening the party’s organizational base ahead of the elections, drew enthusiastic participation from local workers and residents. The campaign chariot traveled through several areas of the constituency, where it was greeted by supporters carrying party flags and banners while raising slogans in support of the party.Party leaders said the “Paribartan Yatra,” or “March for Change,” is intended to convey the message that a political shift is needed in the state. They argued that the initiative is designed to take the party’s agenda directly to voters across different districts.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Majumdar sharply criticized the state government, alleging that corruption and deteriorating law and order had created hardships for ordinary citizens. He urged party members to intensify their efforts to build support for the BJP across the state.He said many residents of West Bengal were seeking political change and expressed confidence that, with public support, the BJP could form the government in the state in the future.Several district and local-level party leaders and workers were present at the event, which organizers described as part of a broader statewide outreach campaign.
