The Minority Cell of the Trinamool Congress on Friday held an organizational meeting in Patiram, culminating in the formation of a new Balurghat Block committee aimed at strengthening the party’s outreach and structure among minority communities.The meeting, organized by the Balurghat Block Trinamool Congress Minority Cell at the Pathasathi complex in Patiram, was attended by Mahabur Rahman Sarkar, the district president of the party’s Minority Cell. Also present were Subhash Bhowal, the district president of the Trinamool Congress; Chintamani Biha, the Sabhadhipati of the Zilla Parishad; Arup Sarkar, the president of the Balurghat Panchayat Samiti; along with several other party leaders and Minority Cell functionaries.
Discussions during the meeting focused on the current organizational situation, measures to further strengthen the party’s structure, the overall development of minority communities, and the roadmap for upcoming political programmes and movements. Speakers stressed the need for greater grassroots-level engagement to ensure that state government welfare and development schemes reach minority communities more effectively.Party leaders called for unity and coordinated action, urging workers to remain active in the field and stay closely connected with the people.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a 31-member Balurghat Block Trinamool Congress Minority Cell committee was unanimously formed. Motaleb Sardar was announced as the new block president, while the names of presidents for various regions within the block were also formally declared.Party leaders said the formation of the new committee would further consolidate the organizational strength of the Minority Cell in the Balurghat block, enabling more effective engagement with local communities in the days ahead.
