Police hand over recovered mobile phones to owners

A total of 16 mobile phones that were either stolen or lost were successfully tracked down and recovered by the Balurghat police and handed over to the rightful owners.The Cyber Crime wing of the city police formed a special team to recover the mobile phones that were reported stolen or lost in the past four or five months ago. Police said that the people were happy to get back their costly phones.




Deputy Superintendent of Police (HQ) Somnath Jha, Inspector-in-Charge of Balurghat police station, Santi Nath Panja handed over the mobile phones to their owners during a programme held at the Balurghat police station premises.In this regard, Deputy Superintendent of Police (HQ) Somnath Jha said "on the instructions of the District Superintendent of Police, we hand over the mobile phones recovered from various police stations across the district to their rightful owners at regular intervals. Similarly, 16 mobiles were recovered few months ago.Seven people appeared at the police station to get back their lost mobiles. Mobile phones were handed over to them today."
