District Magistrate Encourages Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Hilli Government Polytechnic

In a significant step toward fostering innovation-driven education, a special event was organized on Monday at Hilli Government Polytechnic to mark the visit of the District Magistrate Balasubhramanian T. (IAS), who engaged directly with students and applauded their technological aptitude and innovative thinking.

During the visit, the District Magistrate held an interactive session with students, encouraging them to think beyond conventional career paths and embrace entrepreneurship as a means of driving regional development and self-reliance.

A major highlight of the program was the presentation of final-year students’ innovative project works. Students showcased a range of technical prototypes and practical solutions developed as part of their academic curriculum. Impressed by the quality and originality of the ideas, the District Magistrate discussed the prospects of commercializing promising projects and emphasized the importance of transforming academic innovation into market-ready solutions.

He assured students and faculty members that deserving prototypes with strong potential would receive necessary support for commercialization through collaboration with relevant industrial organizations.

The event also marked another notable development for the institution. Under the initiative of the District Magistrate and with financial assistance from the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund of IDBI Bank, the college has been provided with a state-of-the-art interactive panel. The modern teaching aid is expected to make classroom instruction more engaging, efficient and technology-driven, while opening new avenues for knowledge-sharing between students and educators.
