In a major push to accelerate government projects, maintain administrative transparency, and ensure the swift delivery of public services to the common people, a high-level administrative meeting was held here on Friday. The crucial meeting took place at the Gangarampur Block Auditorium in the presence of Satyendranath Roy, the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the Gangarampur constituency.
Apart from the local MLA, the meeting saw high-level participation from top officials of nearly 17 government departments. Among the key attendees were Gangarampur Block Development Officer (BDO) Arpita Ghoshal, Tapan Block Development Officer (BDO) Rajib Tarafdar, and Gangarampur Police Station Inspector-in-Charge (IC) Arindam Bhattacharya. The primary agenda of the session was a detailed review of the ongoing developmental works and outlining the future roadmap for both blocks.
Briefing the media after the meeting, MLA Satyendranath Roy stated that following the formation of the new government in the state, the four MLAs of South Dinajpur district had previously held a coordination meeting with the District Magistrate (DM) and the Superintendent of Police (SP). As per the decisions taken in that district-level meet, it was resolved to conduct separate administrative review meetings across all six assembly constituencies in the district. Friday's program was a part of that decentralized initiative.
The MLA further informed that the current progress of various government departments was thoroughly scrutinized during the session. Government employees have been strictly instructed to ensure timely attendance in offices, with a strong emphasis on completing public works without any unnecessary delay.
Sending a clear and stern message regarding administrative transparency, Roy warned that no irregularities would be tolerated. He urged all government officials and employees to cooperate with the new government and work independently and fearlessly. However, he made it absolutely clear that the influence of middlemen or broker syndictes (dalal chakra) will not be tolerated under any circumstances and must be eradicated completely.
