The discovery of a missing man’s body in a wooded area of Kumarganj Block on Sunday morning has unsettled residents and prompted a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
The deceased, identified as Manjurul Mondal, 42, had been missing for the past two days, according to family members and local residents.Relatives said Mr. Mondal left his home on Friday night to guard a pond near the village, a routine task he occasionally performed. When he failed to return, family members began searching for him across nearby areas and contacted relatives and acquaintances, but no trace of him was found.
On Sunday morning, residents of Madhya Ramkrishnapur noticed a body lying inside a nearby wooded area and alerted the police. Officers from Kumarganj Police Station arrived at the scene and recovered the body.Family members later identified the deceased as Mr. Mondal. Police have sent the body for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.Investigators said the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear and that an inquiry has been initiated. The discovery has sparked concern among residents of the area.
