In a vibrant ceremony held at the Little Magazine Pavilion of the International Kolkata Book Fair, West Bengal’s youngest author, Aruuhi Misra, marked a significant milestone with the release of her second book, "Musings of a Nine-year-old: Stories and Histories." Aruuhi, a Grade 3 student at South Point School, continues to stun the literary world with her exceptional talent. She hails from an illustrious lineage; she is the daughter of the noted novelist and District Inspector of Schools (Secondary), South 24 Parganas, Sani Misra, and the granddaughter of the legendary music maestro, Pandit Vishnu Sevak Misra.This release follows the massive success of her debut book, "Musings of an Eight-year-old," which became a sensation at last year's book fair and has already reached its fourth edition due to overwhelming demand. Her latest work, written at the age of nine, is a compelling anthology that blends imaginative short stories with gripping historical narratives, showcasing a maturity well beyond her years.Arruhi's literary contributions have earned her prestigious national recognition. Her father, Sunny Misra, shared the proud news that Arruhi has been nominated for the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2025 in the 'Author' category.Arruhi’s tryst with the pen began at the tender age of five, inspired by watching her father write. What started as a childhood curiosity has now blossomed into a national achievement, making both Malda (her ancestral home) and the entire state of West Bengal immensely proud.
