Leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday carried out a booth-level outreach program here, with discussions centered on sharpening electoral strategy ahead of the coming Assembly elections.

The event took place at the Ambagan booth in Ward 23, adjacent to the home ward of the town’s member of Parliament, Dr.Sukanta Majumdar, who also serves as a Union minister of state. District party president of Bjp- Swarup Chowdhury, district secretary Bapi Sarkar and town mandal president Samir Prasad Dutta were among those present, alongside other local leaders.

According to party sources, the meeting focused on strengthening grassroots organization and energizing workers at the booth level, widely viewed as critical to mobilizing voters during the election.During the program, about 15 youths from Ward 22 — Majumdar’s own ward — joined the party. The minister handed the party flag to a representative of the new entrants, welcoming them into the fold.

Speaking at the event, the new members said they were inspired by the party’s policies and leadership and expressed their desire to work for its success in the upcoming polls. Dr.Majumdar, in his remarks, emphasized unity among workers and called for sustained engagement with voters in every neighborhood.

The booth victory campaign is part of a broader effort by the party to consolidate its organization across the district as the state moves closer to election season.
