A Carnival of Color and Culture: Gangarampur School Marks 31 Years with a Grand Cultural Showcase

The streets of Gangarampur came alive on Sunday as Chittaranjan English Medium School launched its 31st Annual Cultural Festival with a vibrant procession and a day-long celebration of music, dance, and youthful creativity.The festivities began around 11:30 a.m., when a meticulously decorated rally featuring thematic tableaux rolled out from the school campus. Students, clad in colorful costumes and carrying banners, led the procession through key parts of the town — including the bus stand, Dattapara, Schoolpara, Durgabari Para, Post Office More, Bidrohi More, and High Road — before returning to the school grounds. The parade transformed the town into a moving canvas of festivity, drawing crowds and creating a palpable sense of celebration.


School dignitaries, including Secretary Gautam Ghosh, Vice Principal Sumit Majumdar, and officials Dulal Ghosh, Sanat Dutta, and Binoy Saha, joined the march, underscoring the institution’s deep connection with the local community.The cultural program officially commenced at around 2:30 p.m. within the school premises. Students took center stage with a series of dance performances, musical acts, and creative presentations, showcasing their talent and months of preparation. The event also featured a prize distribution ceremony, honoring students who excelled in various academic and extracurricular competitions.


With rhythmic performances and enthusiastic participation, the campus resonated with energy and applause. The annual cultural festival will continue through Monday, promising more performances and celebrations in the days ahead — a fitting tribute to over three decades of cultural and educational legacy at Chittaranjan English Medium School.
