The three-day district-level quiz competition “Quizastra Seven” is set to conclude today, Sunday, December 28, in South Dinajpur. The event began on Friday, December 26, and has witnessed enthusiastic participation from quiz enthusiasts across the district Dakshin Dinajpur. Organised by the South Dinajpur District Quiz Association, the competition featured a total of 12 teams. The contest commenced on Friday at 1:00 PM with league matches, followed by an inaugural ceremony at 4:30 PM.
The Grand Finale will be held this evening at 5:00 PM, while the Prize Distribution Ceremony is scheduled for 9:00 PM. Each day, the quiz sessions continued till 10:00 PM, keeping audiences engaged with intense rounds of knowledge and quick thinking.Renowned quizmaster Samanway Bandyopadhyay has been overseeing and conducting the competition. The organisers highlighted that since its inception in 2019, the Quizastra series has been playing a vital role in promoting knowledge, intellect, and competitive spirit among students and quiz lovers.
Yesterday, the event was graced by the presence of Balurghat Assembly MLA Dr. Ashok Kumar Lahiri, who attended the competition and encouraged the participants.Officials of the District Quiz Association congratulated all participating teams and expressed satisfaction over the successful continuation of the Quizastra legacy, reaffirming their commitment to nurturing intellectual growth in the region.
