The Minority Cell of the Trinamool Congress on Thursday held a workers’ meeting in the Bhour area of Kumarganj block, drawing active participation from local imams and muezzins and signaling the party’s outreach efforts within the minority community.
The meeting was attended by Mahabur Rahman Sarkar, the district president of the Trinamool Congress Minority Cell, who was present as the chief guest. Block-level leaders of the organization, local elected representatives and party workers were also in attendance.
Discussions at the meeting focused on a range of social and economic issues affecting the minority community, including education, health care and employment. Speakers emphasized the need to ensure that various state government welfare schemes—such as minority scholarships, housing programs, the Swasthya Sathi health insurance scheme and other social security initiatives—reach eligible beneficiaries more effectively.
Addressing the gathering, Mr.Mahabur Rahaman Sarkar called for unity within the party and urged workers to remain closely connected with the people at the grassroots. He highlighted the influential role played by imams and muezzins in community life, noting that their involvement could help strengthen social awareness and facilitate the wider dissemination of information about government programs.

The meeting generated visible political activity in the area, with party workers expressing enthusiasm and renewed commitment as the Trinamool Congress continues to consolidate its organizational base in the run-up to future elections.
