Balurghat College Honors NCC Cadet After Republic Day Parade in Delhi

Balurghat College on Friday felicitated NCC cadet Rinku Barman after her participation in the Republic Day Parade held in New Delhi on January 26.


Rinku Barman, a cadet of the National Cadet Corps unit at the college, earned the opportunity to march in the prestigious parade after successfully completing several NCC camps and examinations. Her selection to represent the institution in the national ceremony was described by faculty members as a moment of pride for the college community.


Following her return from Delhi, Rinku Barman was also awarded a medal by the Governor of West Bengal, further adding to the recognition of her achievement. The NCC department of Balurghat College organized a felicitation ceremony to honor her accomplishment and dedication.


An NCC instructor from the college said the institution felt proud that one of its cadets had the chance to participate in the Republic Day Parade in Delhi and receive a medal from the Governor. The instructor noted that the honor reflects both Rinku Barman’s hard work and the commitment of the NCC unit.


Speaking after the ceremony, cadet Rinku Barman expressed gratitude for the support she received from her teachers and fellow cadets, saying the experience of marching in the Republic Day Parade was a memorable and motivating moment in her life.
