Prohibited Tablets Seized in Joint Operation by BSF and Drug Control in South Dinajpur

In a joint operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Drug Control Department seized a consignment of banned tablets before they could be smuggled into Bangladesh. The seizure took place in the Jamalpur area under Hili Police Station in South Dinajpur district.

According to official sources, the estimated value of the seized tablets is around ₹50,000. Four persons, including Ajay Sarkar, have been arrested in connection with the incident. All the accused were produced before the Balurghat District Court today.

District Drug Controller of South Dinajpur, Bivek Mohan Maitra, said that such joint operations will continue to curb illegal drug trafficking along the border and ensure strict action against those involved.
