The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday  organised a “Booth Vijay Workshop” at a community hall in Gopalganj under the Kumarganj Assembly constituency in South Dinajpur district, aiming to strengthen its grassroots organisation ahead of the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections.The workshop was attended by BJP OBC Morcha state leader and Central Committee member Ajit Das, along with party leaders Govinda Chandra Mondal, Subodh Sarkar, Debashree Sarkar, BJP district secretary Rajat Ghosh, and several other state and district-level leaders.



Addressing the gathering, Ajit Das said the workshop was part of the BJP’s larger strategy and planning to make a strong impact in the upcoming Assembly elections and realise the party’s goal of dislodging the Trinamool Congress to form the government in West Bengal. He stressed the importance of booth-level preparedness and coordination to ensure electoral success.BJP district secretary Rajat Ghosh stated that the workshop was organised to strengthen the organisational structure of the 38-Kumarganj Assembly constituency. He added that such programmes would play a crucial role in energising party workers and consolidating support at the grassroots.


According to party sources, 40 out of 41 Shakti Kendra pramukhs attended the workshop. Presidents of all four mandals under the constituency, Shakti Kendra in-charges, and elected public representatives were also present.During the programme, Ajit Das also made sharp remarks on the Enforcement Directorate’s raids at the residence and office of I-PAC co-founder Pratik Jain, as well as on the political conduct of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, criticising the Trinamool Congress leadership.


The BJP leadership reiterated that similar workshops would continue in the coming months as part of the party’s campaign to strengthen its organisational base across the state ahead of the 2026 polls.
