Balurghat witnessed a solemn yet patriotic atmosphere on Friday morning as the 130th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was commemorated with deep respect at the Saare Tin Number More Club. Local residents, club members, and dignitaries assembled to pay heartfelt tributes to one of India’s most iconic freedom fighters.
Organised by the Saare Tin Number More Club, the annual programme commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the offering of floral tributes and garlanding of Netaji’s portrait. The ceremony stood as a powerful reminder of Netaji’s indomitable spirit, sacrifice, and unwavering vision for a free and united India.
The event was attended by Club President Arindam Chakraborty, Secretary Tapan Kumar Banerjee, Assistant Secretary Subrata Dutta, Cultural Secretary Arindam Sen, Executive Committee Member Shantanu Goswami, along with other members of the club and residents from the surrounding areas.
Addressing the gathering, speakers reflected on the timeless relevance of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s ideals, highlighting his fearless leadership, commitment to national unity, and enduring inspiration for generations.
